《明信片》Post Card

排灣族青年阿馬克,聽到族人從城市裡傳來的聲音,他嚮往城市的繁華,就像家鄉的飛鼠看到了光。在都市裡,每天爬在高高的鷹架上,他覺得離當初的夢想越來越遠,工頭叫他(外籍勞工),更讓他感到不安、憤怒。於是,山和海的聲音,在夢裡召喚他在一個沒有陽光的清晨,阿馬克在海邊看見了阿麗,他聽見海浪帶來家鄉女孩歌聲他相信這是祖先安排的…

小麗,就像阿馬克的夢,像他當初來城市追逐的夢想,遙遠而美麗。而阿馬克,卻像小麗所收集的明信片,背後總是寫著一些故事。

Ah-ma-ker, a youth from P’ai Wan Tribe, hears the voice of his people in the city. He longs for the vanity urban life like a bat that sees the light. Yet, climbing up the high scaffold everyday in the city, he feels that he is more and more far away from his dream. And that the foreman calls him “a foreign labor” makes him become more agitated and uneasy. Hence, he hears the voice of the mountains and the sea calling him in his dreams. Ah-ma-ker sees Ah-li on the beach iin a cloudy early morning. He hears from the waves the singing of the girl from his hometown. He believes that this must be a message from his ancestors… Ah-li, pretty but far away, is like the dream that Ah-ma-ker had when he just came to the city, while Ah-ma-ker is similar to those postcards that Ah-li collects and that are scribbled with all kinds of stories on the back.

沒有聲音的世界裡有著淡藍的夢幻,兩位少女依著夢的翅膀去旅行;有貝多芬和蕭邦的雨、風賜的記憶、美的心跳、幸福的水分子、高山上的約定和一切最真實的擁有;一站站停泊只為尋找最後的天堂。

一直在尋找一種短片的可能性,這個故事中讓我們找到了。在構思這個題材的時候依著少女的夢幻來敘述這個故事,她們沒有太多的想法只是一直朝著希望追尋,影像亦是如此的單純。

This is the world have no sounds.

Two girls depend on the dreams of the wing to travel.

It has the Beethoven and Chopin’s rain.

The wind gives away the memory.

The beauty of the heartbeat.

The happiness of the moisture.

The pledge the mountain and we have the true real own.

Berth each of the station just looking for the wonderful paradise. I always look for a possibility of the short film. And I find it. When we are thinking about this material of the story. We just follow the young girl’s vision to narrate this story.

They don’t have much more thinking. The only one thing just follows they own wish. And the image of the film is the same pure with it.

張國甫

1993年追隨林福地導演進入電視台學習戲劇節目製作,1994年考取中華藝術學校電影戲劇科專修攝錄影,藝校畢業後回到林導演身邊繼續製作戲劇節目,1996年進入台灣藝術學院舞蹈系,1997年轉至電影系主修燈光、剪輯及導演。2000年初跟隨陳明導演學習廣告以及MTV影片製作。

Allen Chang was born in Taiwan in 1976. He follows director Fu Di Lin to learn the TV programs production in TV station in 1993. Later he specializes in photography in the Chinese Art School. Graduating from the CAS, he continues to produce the TV programs.

In 1996 he enters into the Dance Department of National Taiwan College of Arts. Then he transfers to Motion Picture Department to specialize in lighting、film editing and directing in 1997. After that he follows director Jacky Chen to learn CF and MTV film production in 2000.

陳大昱

1974年出生於澎湖縣馬公市。馬公高中畢業後服役兩年,役畢考取台灣藝術學院電影系主修攝影和導演,2000年初跟隨陳明導演學習廣告以及MTV影片製作。

Da Yu Chen was born in Taiwan in 1974. He graduates from the Ma Gon senior high school.

Then he serves in the army for two years. Then he enters into the Motion Picture Department of National Taiwan College of Arts to specialize in photography and directing. After that he follows director Jacky Chen to learn CF and MTV film production in 2000.

本片是導演小湯對他的達悟(蘭嶼)人朋友”馬目諾”一段生命歷程的記錄,透過小湯自己對生活工作上的自省與馬目諾重生歷程的處境互動的過程表達出相互間的生命關照。

小湯對馬目諾,兩個不同文化背景卻對海洋有著豐厚感情的人,藉著攝影機的追索,可以看到馬目諾身為達悟人的處境,以及小湯對生命源頭的探索,也藉此傳遞人對大自然環境相依相存的關係。

Director Tommy recorded a period in the life of his Da Wu Aboriginal friend, Mamuno. The interaction between Tommy’s self-reflection, and Mamuno srebirth process, expresses their deep concern for one another.

Tommy and Mamuno are from two different culture backgrounds, but share a devotion to the sea. The film conveys how human beings and nature are interdependent on each other.

Tang Hsiang-chu, born in 1964, graduated in drama at National Taiwan College of Arts. He worked as producer for Tien-Ho Advertisement Company, and now is also Sound Recording Technician for the Duh Duu-Ji Recording Workshop.

Tang is the director How High Is the Mountain (in production). His sound-recording works include: My Beauty and Sorrow, Spring Flower, Dream Dew My Neurosis, Go Wild, Jam, Heatbeat, and Nightrun.

湯湘竹

1964年生。國立台灣藝術專科學校戲劇科畢。曾任天荷廣告公司製片,現為杜篤之錄音工作室現場同步錄音師。導演作品有:《海有多深》、《山有多高》(拍攝中)。錄音作品有:《我的美麗與哀愁》、《春花夢露》、《我的神經病》、《放浪》、《果醬》、《心動》、《夜奔》…等片。

Born in 1964, graduated from drama department of National Taiwan College of Arts. T’ang had been working as producer for Tien-Ho Advertisement Company, now as simultaneous sound recording technician for Du Du-Zi Recording Workshop. Directing works include How Deep The Sea Is, How High The Mountain Is (in process ). Sound-recording works include My Beauty and Sorrow、Spring Flower, Dream Daw、My Neurosis, Go Wild, Jam, Heatbeat, Nightrun.

畫家阿香,曾深愛好友小季,但因小季對女人沒有那種感覺,無法接受阿香的感情,自此以後,阿香就再也沒碰到過使她生命如此悸動的對象。小青,從紐約回到台灣,找她深愛卻欺瞞她的女友,一場訣別的談判,讓小青痛不欲生。小青在混亂中,開著車,開始了漫無目標的旅程。未知的因緣,將她們牽引至花蓮。

她們在花蓮相遇了。小青在狂亂中,看到沿路攔車的阿香,一念之間,她把車子調頭,停在阿香身邊。阿香第一眼看到小青,內心深受一股細微而強烈的震動。未知的因緣,在這一世,這一刻,讓她們在海角天涯中相遇在短暫的相遇中,小青引起阿香內心莫名的騷動,促使阿香終於面對了她最深,最隱秘的人生課題情慾。

小青也在阿香的引導下,開始體會自然的美,這個體會,很微妙的把她從失戀的痛苦中緩緩拉出。而阿香和摯友小季之間超越情愛的友誼,呼應到小青自己的感情,小青對她女友的欺騙不實,似乎可以從一個更寬容的角度去看。

小青也把自己從感情的執著中,慢慢鬆開。

生命的因緣力量大過我們所能控制,也不是我們所能決定的。但我們能做的,卻是在這股未知的神秘力中,在彼此相遇的因緣裡,善待彼此。

生命應該可以互相激盪,互相給予力量,互相滋長與完成。命運如此安排必有它的原因。這就是阿香與小青相遇的故事。

陳若菲

1989年文化大學影劇系畢業。

在校期間,編導的作品《我的男朋友的女朋友》、《台北季節》先後獲台北電影節和金穗獎的肯定。畢業後,參與楊德昌導演的《牯嶺街年殺人事件》,紀錄片《蘭嶼觀點》、《台灣童顏》等電影的製作,熟悉電影製作的流程和生態。1992年赴美進修,在加州藝術學院拿到電影碩士後,以輔導金拍攝的16mm電影《強迫曝光》,細膩描寫男同志出櫃的掙扎,獲邀參加加拿大溫哥華、韓國釜山等國際影展,並獲金馬獎創作短片入圍及金穗獎最佳劇情短片。回國後,第二部獲輔導金的電影《海角天涯》,目光轉向了女同志的情感故事。這部影片,跳脫了「同志議題」的侷限-不再處理出櫃的掙扎,與異性戀間對立的苦痛,回歸到「人本」的原點,向內呈現女同志「與一般人無異」的內在情感世界,是台灣第一部細膩描寫女同性戀情感的電影。

《起毛球了》Fluffy Rhapsody

一個拒絕執業的實習醫生,遇上了綻放著青春的高中女生妙妙,在這個充滿渾沌空氣、新鮮誘惑、人群潮來潮往的都市中,他們要如何守住這段輕飄飄的愛情?這是個屬於『現在』的故事,世紀末的台北,城市的顏色很多變,網際網路讓人與人的關係愈來愈輕了…那些沒有信仰的年輕一代,要如何在這快速運轉的環境中安.身.立.命?他們要相信什麼呢?流行?電視?政治?還是愛情?當愛情都變得很輕的時候,我們又該往那去呢?

「一定有一個真正的自己,委屈求全地躲在自己的體內,無法和自己相會」萬經常這樣向我抱怨,「更精確的說法應該是:我根本不認識那個自己於是不斷尋找藉口;自助旅行、改名字和年輕女孩睡覺,想盡辦法把自己吐出來,可是總是會口渴,總是要喝水,就這樣日復一日地把自己又吞了進去」。有一陣子妙妙迷上了直排輪溜冰鞋,萬送了她一雙,當天晚上他又向我抱怨:「去她奶奶的熊,我實在無法忍受『分期付款』這荒謬的行為」

萬氣呼呼的聲音自話筒縫噴出:「沒有人真正的思考過這個問題-『分期付款』不管有息或無息,其實我們在用那一滴滴有限的生命。

民國三十八年前後,國民政府從大陸撤退來台,帶了六十萬大軍,他們以為不久之後就可以反攻大陸回家了。沒想到一待四十年,兩岸才開放。於是,這群老兵成為台灣與大陸間最尷尬的一群人!家,歸不得,不可求。

我的父親也是老兵。奶奶的一支銀簪子,讓我走進了父親的世界,和許多老兵伯伯們的深深思念…。

In 1949, the Nationalist Government of China, along with 600,000 soldiers, retreated to Taiwan. They expected to quickly return to the Mainland, to continue fighting and win the war. Despite their optimistic expectation, this has not happened in over 50 years. But most embarrassing to the government in exile, and depressing to the veterans, China could not be reconquered. Their home was impossible to return to, or until fairly recently, even to visit.

This is the reality which confronted my father. A simple silver hairpin of my grandmother let me into the homesick world of my father and the other veterans.

《沙河悲歌》Lament of The Sand River

戰後的台灣百業蕭條,家境貧困的文龍,一心追求小喇叭的吹奏技藝,離鄉背井隨著歌仔戲劇團在各地演出,女班主碧霞對文龍頗有好感,十分器重他。文龍閒暇時在茶室邂逅了彩雲,短短數日的相處,分別時互相留下了良好的印象。後年文龍發現身患肺病返鄉休養。

當文龍身體好轉時,改吹薩克斯風回碧霞的劇團,為碧霞做事的玉秀長的婷婷玉立,兩人相處,日久生情,結為夫妻。

婚後,文龍宿疾復發,無法工作,只能離開日趨沒落的歌仔戲團,重回沙河鎮,來到酒家走唱時重遇彩雲……

In the postwar years, Taiwan was in poverty. Pursuing his trumpet, skills despite difficulties poverty, Weng-lung joins a typical KIR-tzai Theatre troupe.

The female leader of the troupe. Pih-hsia has special feelings toward Wen-lung.

She takes him as some one very important. Wen-lung encounters Tsai-yun at a tea house. After few days together, they have developed a good impression of one another. Two years later, Wen-lung discovers he lung disease and retires to his hometown. When Wen-lung is getting better, he starts to blow saxophone instead of trumpet, and returns to Pih-hsia’s troupe band where he meets Yu-hsiu who works of Pih-hsia.

They fall in love and ge married. After their wedding, Wen-lung falls ill again. All he can do is to leave the downfallen Ken-tzai theatre troupe band and go back to Sand River Town. While he is playing the saxophone for a living, he meets Tsai-yun there張志勇

出生於1954年,畢業於世界新聞專科學校電影編導科,1980年進入電影圈,從基層做起,歷經場記、副導、編劇、製片、導演。監製的影片有《春花夢露》、《超級大國民》等。執導的第一部電影《一隻鳥仔哮啾啾》於1997年韓國濟州島舉行亞太影展勇奪最佳影片獎及和平貢獻獎,也得到當年的台灣金馬獎評審團大獎,並獲觀眾票選最受迎的影片,本片於1998年中國長春影展榮獲最佳男配角獎。

Born in 1954, he graduated from the Editing and directing Department of the College of World News. He began his career, rising from log keeper, assistant director, playwright, producer, all the way to director. He has supervised Spring Flora Dreamy Dew (春花夢露), Super Citizen (超級大國民) His first film, A Bird Crying Out (一隻鳥仔哮啾啾) was awarded the best film and peace contribution at the Asia pacific film exhibition in 1997. In the same year, the film also won the Golden-horse prize and was voted as the most popular film in Taiwan. This film is awarded the best vice male actor in China’s 長春film exhibition in 1998 as well.

自從出了車禍,被去掉一大半的掌紋讓東清的命運大大改觀,緊接著父親中風,他的生命被限制在當舖裡,沒多久他邂逅了護士Eiko,他試圖找回東清的掌紋,東清心底卻另有打算…

Ever since a car accident, the loss of most haif of his palm has changed Dong-Chin’s life greatly.

Soon after the accident, his father had a paralyzing got a stroke. His life is becomes saerificed to a pawnshop. After a while, he comes across a nurse named Eiko. The moment of their encounter, she tries to see that lost palm that once has belonged to him. However, deep down, Tong-ching knows he is heading in another direction in his life.

蕭雅全

1967.12.20.生,國立藝術學院美術系畢。1988年開始拍攝短片,短片作品曾先後獲金帶、金穗、中時影展等比賽獎項,並曾受邀於金馬獎國際影展、澳洲雪梨美術館影展、香港藝術中心及溫哥華國際影展放映。1994年開始拍攝商業影片,商業廣告曾獲時報廣告金牌、華語區金牌;紐約廣告獎佳作、及4A廣告獎最佳影片。曾擔任侯孝賢電影《海上花》副導演,首部長片電影《命帶追逐》曾獲2000台北電影節最佳影片及最佳新導演獎。

《哥兒們》  So-Called Friend

台灣青年小林跟著公司外景隊赴大陸拍片,擔任攝影助理的工作,因為私自僱用大陸人小周為其分擔沉重的工作,而被老闆開除,流落北京,小周適時伸出援手,讓他住在自己媽媽家裡,兩人成為很好的朋友。

小林在醫院認識女子李佳,雙方都對對方有好感,短暫的交往後,李佳卻在一個莫名其妙的情況下失去了蹤影,小林與小周兩人終日在大陸古老的城市裡尋覓心中的她。

A young Taiwanese, assistant photographer, Lin shoots door out scenes in Mainland China with the company’s crew. He loses his job for illegally hiring mainlander Hsiao Chow, and wanders through Beijing. Chow offers his mothers house for Lin to stay and eventually they become good friends.

Lin encounters a girl, Li jia, in a hospital and they get a good impression. After dating for short period of time, Li jia disappears without reason. Lin and Chow search for he in the old city for days.

連錦華

屏東農專森林科畢業,北京電影學院導演系畢業。電影《超級大國民》製片組,台視「八千里路雲和月」外景編導。

Graduated from The Department of Forestry at P’ing Tong College of Agriculture, and the Film Directing Department of Beijing Film College. He has been a member of the producing group, Super Citizen, and the outdoor scene director of All Those on the Journey.

戴泰龍

世新廣電系畢業。影片工會編導班結業,北京電影學院攝影碩士班畢業,電影《流浪舞台》副導,現擔任紀錄片與廣告片導演。

Graduated from The Department of Broadcast and Television in the College of World News, and the graduate school of photography in the Film Directing Department of Beijing Film College. He was Assistant Director on Wandering Stage, and now he is a director of documentary and advertising films.

《真情狂愛》 Spring Cactus

小蘭以為年輕是對抗環境的唯一方法。但她的好友小琳自殺後,她才知道事情並非如此。一次遭受家人指責後,小蘭負氣出走,成為妓女。年輕的教會牧師愛上小蘭,認為信仰的力量可以導正小蘭,可是這個婚姻中的幸福在小蘭用刀殺傷彼得的那一刻便化為烏有。小蘭因此入獄。出獄後,小蘭和賭徒黑仔同居,並認識一心想幫助她回到正常生活的秀秀,可惜,功敗垂成,小蘭在一次衝突中又將黑仔殺傷,再度入獄。獄中她碰到與自己成長經驗相仿的小貓,她暗中立下決心要幫助小貓。出獄後,小蘭成長許多,也不再在意別人的異樣眼光。重新遇到小貓,小蘭熱心將之視為未來人生的夥伴,兩人可以攜手同行,沒想到小貓竟背叛了她。

沒有人確定小蘭最後到底會走到哪裡去……

Xiao Lan grows up in an environment like that of many other teenagers: she has a home she isn’t sure she can go back or not; she has a group of friends she is not sure she can trust or not; she is in a society that she thought there was no need to dwell upon being hurt and that sorts of things A story about a young rebel and an outcast thus begins…

黃玉珊

國立政治大學西洋語文系畢業,美國紐約大學電影研究所碩士。

八十年代開始拍攝紀錄片,作品有《朱銘》、《四季如春的台北》等,分別獲得金穗獎和金馬獎。自1993年起,結合民間社團、企業界、基金會主辦過多屆的《女性影像藝術展》,開啟了國內女性影像研究和創作的風氣,其間曾任教於台灣藝術學院電影系、清華大學通識教育中心,擔任台北市女性影像學會理事長。目前除編導工作外,並任教於臺南藝術學院音像紀錄研究所、音像藝術管理研究所,現職為音像藝術管理研究所副教授兼所長。

《破輪胎》 Flat Tyre

小寧來到花蓮跟阿猛住了一陣子之後,她就發現沉默寡言的阿猛一天到晚和捲髮怪攝影師劍仙背著16厘米的攝影機往外跑,一意孤行的紀錄大街小巷的戶外雕塑。

每一個戶外雕塑都隱藏著急需解讀的人間現象,卻在從來沒有人關心的情況下,隨著時光流轉而逐漸曲解、淹沒:阿猛決心將他所有體悟的戶外雕塑全數保存在16厘米的底片中,他相信這是一件最大的功德…。他與劍仙上山下海,攀在玉山拍于右任、搭船到澎湖等離島,繼續搜尋所謂的政治雕塑。就在他們用完最後一百呎底片前,小寧也開始拿起16厘米拍攝,只不過她有完全不同的拍攝對象……。

Xiao-Ning comes to Hualien to live with A-Mon for a period of time. Afterwards, she finds that A-Mon goes out with Swordguy almost every day and night, with their 16mm camera, single-mindedly recording outdoor sculptures of every lane and alley.

Every outdoor sculpture hides some image of the world that needs to be read. However, those sculptures gradually become distorted and drowned into meaninglessness by people’s ignorance. A-mong made up his mind to preserve all outdoor sculpture he comprehends in his 16mm films, which he thinks would be the most beneficence. He and Swordguy travel everywhere, on the Mount Jade (to shoot the sculptures of Yu yo-ren于右任) to Peng-hu to look for the so-called political sculptures. Before they used up their last 100 feet of film , Hsiao-ning also took the 16mm camera to shoot footage. But what she shot is totally different from film.

黃明川

台大法律系畢業。赴紐約及洛杉磯學習石版畫、繪畫與平面攝影,其後在紐約開設專業攝影工作室。1988年返台。89年至98年之間,黃明川以開創性的獨立製作精神完成了《西部來的人》、《寶島大夢》以及《破輪胎》三部劇情長片。2000年著手架設黑狗網路電影網站,六月六日《無聊的一天》開台首播。

Graduated from The Department of Law, National Taiwan University, Huang went to L.A. and N.Y. to study lithography, painting, and graphic photography. He also set up a professional photo studio in N.Y. He came back to Taiwan in1988. During the years from 1989 to 1998, using his innovative an independent spirit in film-making, Huang accomplished his three full-length films: People from the West, Dreams of Formosa, an Flat Tire. In 2000, Huang set up and interent film website called Black Dog, with A Boring Day premiering on June 6th .

He is Senior Director and Producer of both film and animation in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Yu has been to America and Canada for advanced study.

His works include narrative feature films, documentaries, animation, short experimental films, and short animation, and other forms. He has shown his works in many domestic and foreign Film Festivals. Currently, he is the chairman of the Graduate Sound and Image Institute in Animation, National Tainan College of the Arts.

《晴天娃娃》 Sunny Doll

在一切切磋學業,相互鼓舞之下,幾個高中生從陌生轉為親密,祈雨的晴天娃娃是這一切唯一的見證,雨季來了,成績一向不佳的高中生歆荷作了一個「晴天娃娃」乞求天氣轉晴,更希望自己的數學會有進步。坐校車回家時,成績優秀的克磊提出以「晴天娃娃」作為這學期當她數學小老師的交換條件從此每天在放學的校車上克磊細心的教她數學。

跳水社副社長黎雅發覺歆荷的跳水天份,讓她成為跳水社的一員,並細心教歆荷跳水。而克磊、政偉原屬的游泳社因為泳池整修,合併到跳水社共用一池,四人之間的交集變得更為密切,漸漸地歆荷和克磊由初次相見時的看不順眼,到後來的互相吸引。

Under the pressure of school, a few high school students cheer each other up and become close friends. <Sunny Doll> is the only witness to what happens to these students.

When the rain season comes, Hsin-Ho, a girl who has never gotten a high school, makes a Sunny Doll to pray for sunny days, and also to help her progress in math. On the school bus home, Ke-Lay, who is an excellent student asks Hsin-Ho to give him the Sunny Doll in everyday going home on their school bus.

The assistant leader of the diving club, Lee-ya, discovers that Hsiu-Ho is talented in diving.

He urges her to join the club, and starts to teach her diving. Due to the reconstruction of the swimming club’s pool, Ker-lay and Chen-wei move to the pool of the diving clubs pool to practice. The four become friends closer than before. As time goes by, Hsin-Ho and Ker-lay are no longer enemies, as when they first met and become attracted to each other.

1965年生,文化大學戲劇系畢業,拍攝16厘米《憧憬船》獲得81年金穗獎、《遺失的相機》獲得84年金穗獎與該年金馬獎短片展。84年《公務員發天威》、85年《夏日》獲得新聞局電影優良劇本獎,中影89年電影《晴天娃娃》導演。

Born in 1965, Chen graduated from the Drama Department at Chinese Culture University.

His film, received the 1981 Golden Grain Award for his 16mm film, Imaginary Boat. His films, Lost Camera, also received the 1984 Golden Grain Award, and Best Short Film at the Golden Horse Awards. The Government Employee Has Gone Mad (1984), and Summer day (1985), received Best Film Scripts awards from Agency News of Executive Yuan. Chen is also director of the film, Sunny Doll, 1989.

基隆,台北北濱的舊海港,80年代的經濟繁榮並未振興它卻於90年代末飽受經濟衰退。

康宜,17歲的聰慧女孩從台北的大學回家過暑假,爸爸阿修在多年前的一場車、賺錢支助女兒的學費並扶養弱智的弟弟阿奇。

18歲的阿平,因行為不檢被學校開除。到基隆去找他父親的舊識,宋來照應他,宋是地方幫派的 “大哥” ,阿修的舊識和按摩院的老主顧和投資者。宋的兄弟,酒鬼陳明帶著阿平四處遊蕩時巧遇康宜。她馬上迷戀上他並想盡各種理由親近。這般親密的關係惹毛了康宜以前的同學阿玲,一個大姐大,敵幫主頭的女兒。兩派人馬在公共場合大打出手,在貪官警察小顧的斡旋下和解,但小平卻昏迷不醒。

阿修的身體狀況本來就很差,在女兒陪他回台北的不久後即深陷昏迷,送至醫院幾天後就離開人世。同時阿平也死於兩幫激烈的群架中,康宜頓時失去她最重視的兩個男人,滿天煙火在海港綻放的一個夜晚她幻想著自己和爸爸及阿平再次團聚。

Keelung is an old port on the north coast of Taiwan. Kan-Yih, a bright 17-year-old girl, comes home for summer vacation from college in Taipei. Her father Ah Hsiu, who lost both his wife and his sight in a car crash several years age, tries to make ends meet by running a small massage shop at home: he has a staff of three, all of whom are blind or partially-sighted. Ah Hsiu and his new wife, Pao-hui (also blind), do their best to support Kang-Yih’s schooling and to bring up her retarded younger brother Ah Chin.

18 year old Ah Ping has just arrived at Keelung. His Mainland-born father has returned to China and entrusted him to the care of Song, his father’s friend in the army. Ah Ping has been expelled for misbehavior from a military school in Hualien. He discovers that his mentor, Song, is the Big Brother of a local gang. Big Brother Song is also an old friend and regular customer of Ah Hsiu’s. In fact, he gave Ah Hsiu the money to set up the massage shop. Ah Ping runs into Kang-Yih as soon as he comes to Keelung. He meets her again when he fools around with Song’s man, Chen Ming. K’angYih develops an immediate crush on the boy and soon finds an excuse to stay out all night with him, showing him the night market and other interesting places, and taking him on a dawn boat-ride around the harbor.

It infuriates Kang-Yih’s former classmate Ah Ling, a Big Sister in another gang. Later, junior members of the two gangs pick fights with each other in public. Their leaders meet and try to negotiate under the auspices of Hsiao Gu, a corrupt police officer. Hsiao Gu, and try to negotiate under the auspices of Hsiao Gu, a corrupt police officer. Hsiao Gu, however, has taken an instant dislike to Ah P’ing, and he’s happy to leave the gangs slug it out.

初始的原點,是作者想藉攝影機替代三個陌生島嶼發聲。

但隨著熱切進入的步伐,接踵而至紛亂命題的角度轉化成定義的質疑;原始純善的妄念,轉化成自省的憤怒。

攝影機無法記錄人的遷徒史造就的三島歷史,攝影機無法記錄原生體系中逐漸被社會力政治力參與的排列,攝影機更無法記錄人的覺醒,或許無從記錄人理直氣狀的貪嗔,於是,記錄當下現實的工作只看到了人高傲面對土地所遺留的窘態。

至於,島嶼所想,土地欲訴,都幻化成最直接的舉措無聲。

整部影片由鳥靈的思念原鄉開始以困成三角終不能逃的靈魂為終。

預言一個無解的人島爭議:也寓言一個土地噤聲的抗衡,所有指陳透過影像沒有結論,只是一個默然的思考。

Primitive zero, the author tries to speak for three unfamiliar islands by means of a video camera. But when his zeal cuts in, the chaotic theme is transferred into the questioning of definition; primitive pure greed is transferred into introspective anger.

The video camera cannot record the history of the three islands whose basis is in the history of people’s migration. The video camera cannot record, in the primitive system, the video camera to record the awakening of people; that is , it cannot record people’s self confident greediness. Therefore, tool recording present reality only sees the embarrassment caused by people’s pride over the land. As to what the islands think of, and what the land accuses, all are transformed into the most direct act: silence.

The film begins with bird spirits’ missing home, and ends in its being trapped in this delta, predicting the unsolvable controversy between people and the land. It also implies the fighting back of the land’s silence. All the accusations are portrayed through images, without conclusions. It is only a silent meditation.

沈可尚

台灣台南人。1999年畢業於國立台灣藝術學院電影系導演組。作品《與山》曾入圍1999年坎城影展 電影奠基單元。現為FREELENCE導演 攝影。

Shen Kir-shang was born in Taipei, 1972, and now lives in Tainan. He graduated from the directing section, in the Film Department of National Taiwan Art College. Currently, he is a free director and an independent, photographer. Domestic and foreign Film Festival have selected his record film short film, and awarding him many times.

一切發生在1988年那個炎夏的晚上,帝皇桌球室。高幹子弟陳捍東跟劉征及一干人等正玩得興起的時候,看見藍宇,他媽的藍宇這名字也真性感。從東北到北京念建築的缺錢的學生,那個晚上他買下了他的初夜。

再次相遇是冬至的晚上。雪下得大,你穿得那麼少,不冷嗎?肉慾把理智蓋掩。華華飯店房間內的幕天席地幾乎是地久天長的綣繾,剎那間已經等同一輩子。你不給我玩你給誰玩?囂張的話語在同年夏天動蕩的氣候幻成瘟疫,讓捍東為藍宇操心。

那夜,在滿天叫人害怕的光影中間,在晃動的自行車和手拉著手的人堆中間,在生與死中間,他們終於確認了一段他們之前並不明白的關係。之後出現了林靜平,她令捍東覺得自己是可以讓女人幸福的男人。藍宇沒有哭。起碼在可以控制以內的時刻他堅決拒絕哭。你知道,我答應過自己,以後我是再不會讓其他人令我傷心的了。三年多的婚姻生活,捍東離婚了。人海茫茫我只是希望可以多見你一次。首都機場內捍東和藍宇的再次邂逅恍如隔世。

Beijing, 1988. Chen Handong, the eldest son of a senior government bureaucrat, runs a fast-growing trading company and plays as hard as he works. And his tastes run to boys more than girls.

Lan Yu is a country boy, newly arrived in Beijing to study architecture. He is short of money and willing to try anything to earn some.

Handong met him in the pool-hall. He took the young student home and gave the latter what turns out to be a life-changing sexual initiation. Handong and Lan Yu meet often, and the boy is soon very secure in his love for the man. But Handong insists that he wants a play-mate, not a lifelong companion, and warns Lan Yu that they will eventually break up. Lan Yu is undeterred, until the night he arrives at Handong’s apartment and finds his lover in the process of seducing a college athlete. They meet again on the night of 4 June 1989. Handong goes looking for Lan Yu, worried that he might have been caught up in the army’s murderous sweep through Tiananmen Square. Handong gives Lan Yu his most lavish gifts yet — a newly built villa on the outskirts of Beijing and a car — and they begin living together as a couple. But again Handong shies away from his feelings for the boy.

He enters a whirlwind romance with Jing-ping, a professional translator who has helped his company in trade negotiations with Russians, and marries her. Lan Yu moves out of the villa, and Handong loses contact with him.

Before long, Handong is divorced. He runs in to Lan Yu by chance at the airport one day, and an invitation to try Lan Yu’s home cooking leads to a resumption of their relationship.

(in Mandarin GUAN Jinpeng; in Cantonese KWAN Kam-Pang) was born in Hong Kong, 1957. After studying in the Department of Communications in Baptist College, he joined the television station TVB as a trainee actor but soon moved to the production training division. He found himself working as assistant to several of the young directors who went on to launch a ‘new wave’ in Hong Kong cinema including Ann Hui, Yim Ho and Patrick Tam. He soon followed them in moving into the film industry and directed his own first feature in 1985. His second film Love Unto Waste was invited into competition in Locarno Film Festival and his third, Rouge, won him a substantial international audience. His 1991 film Actress (aka Centre Stage) won the Best Actress prize in Berlin Film Festival for Maggie Cheung, and in 1997 Hold You Tight won both the Alfred Bauer prize for innovation and the Teddy Award for best lesbian /gay feature, again in Berlin. In addition to the feature films which have won him a worldwide art-house following, he has directed shorts, documentaries and a short play which was staged in both Hong Kong and London.

Private Chine-Ren Senior High School. A girl in casual clothes enters a classroom. She is the new teacher of class 3C. It has been half a year since she graduated from the university. Her name is Sung Tan-ru. Today is the first day of to work as a teacher. After school, she drags her large and small luggage, heading to her new house. On her way, she drops into a boutique and find a green jade heart-shaped necklace. It looks the same as the one her mother pawned to pay for living. Tan-ru decides to buy the necklace, to thank her mother for raising her. However, it costs a lot and she cannot afford it. So she is determined to get another part-time job to increase her income.

《我的回家作業》My Homework

本片作者為台南藝術學院的學生,必須繳交一份紀錄片作業,在這個具體的原因與前提下,作者在自己家中展開了一個生活化的錄製過程,母親是片中的主要敘述者,顯然也是家人心中最主要的依靠。母親手邊珍藏著家中每一個成員的相片,委委道述早年辛苦工作,只為了讓孩子有一個遮風避雨的房子;希望孩子們都有一個好的歸宿……。

被攝影者的母親對鏡頭有著強烈的好奇心,攝影者與被攝影者的相互溝通互動,在片中毫無遮掩地具體呈現。

這樣一個樸實、平凡的家庭是大部分平民百姓的日常縮影,同時也表達出了母親面對生活困境的韌性、順境中的滿足與對兒女的殷殷期盼。

虞戡平導演在本片中,企圖以「台灣布袋戲史」為窗口,窺探「台灣近代史」之軌跡,結構繁放,頗具史詩規模,並對布袋戲各重要門派(如「五洲園」派黃家)風格做精闢探討。「舞」片內容上起清朝中葉漳、泉移民渡海來台,到1945年光復後民間歡欣鼓舞、布袋戲界百家爭鳴之榮景,再談到50年代「金光布袋戲」盛極一時的狂熱狀態;最後談到引起收視風潮的電視布袋戲,以及結合高科技及現代化行銷,已然成為當代文化現象的霹靂布袋戲。實為一具備史詩風格,內容精細之紀錄片傑作。

 

《森林之夢》  Forest Dream

921震災之後,南投縣鹿谷鄉內湖國小面臨無法原地重建校園的困境,遷校到森林裡蓋一所生態小學的夢想逐漸浮現,在尋覓爭取遷校用地的過程中因為一直無法取得台大實驗林代管的國有林地,而突顯內湖村特殊的土地處境,一所只有100多名師生的小學校,一個位於山區的小村莊,美夢在通往森林的路上飄揚,而森林之夢是否能夠成真呢?

逐夢的孩子們與大人們正熱切地期待著…

鹿港鎮公所執意拓寬道路,執行都市計劃,拆掉象徵一府二鹿三艋舺光榮歷史的郊商日茂行【注釋】遺址,於是有一群名為鹿港發展苦力群的地方知識青年,冒出來向鎮公所抗議。他們把事情越鬧越大,終於引起了公部門的重視。省文化處委託一位知名的社區營造專家,在鹿港舉辦一場名為歷史之心裝置藝術大展的活動,邀來十位裝置藝術家,在具有象徵性的傳統建築空間裡,從事前衛藝術視覺創作。這個大膽的實驗,一開始得到苦力群成員的支持,但是,在活動期間,藝術家卻不斷與民眾爆發出各種衝突而這群地方青年,也對專家學者與藝術家的做法,越來越感到質疑…

於高雄縣內門鄉是月世界「惡地形」得的研延續,由於惡地形的土壤不含水、農作物生長不易,農民經濟來源不穩定。因此,內門鄉的居民與台灣其他農村一樣,在台灣社會轉型的過程中,不斷因應時機,尋找出路,從早期的竹簍業到養豬業,到現在擁有二百多位廚師的外燴廚師業,內門是總鋪師(廚師)故鄉的聲譽已風聞各地。

為了每年農曆二月十九日佛祖的誕辰祭典,早在祭典的前二個月,內門鄉民在自己的村莊裡籌組各式各樣的陣頭,並且開館勤加練習……。此項獨特的習俗在內門已經傳承了將近百年!

在各個陣頭練習的時間來到內門鄉,只要聞樂聲就能尋訪到陣頭,親身體驗宋江陣鑼鼓聲劃破寂靜的夜晚,團員個個揮汗如珠的活力。在這樣一個宗教祭典中,年青人總有一股「輸人輸陣」的豪氣,也看到老一輩的人傾力傳授,希望能將這項傳統一直延續下去!

《憂慮花蓮》  Worried about Hualien

1997年開始拍攝,費時兩年多才完成的這部紀錄片,試圖將十年來花蓮環境保護運動的歷程,藉著花蓮出生成長的鍾寶珠,這位執著、勇敢、無怨無悔、堅持理想性格的客家女性為主角,帶領我們到幾個環境現場,目睹環境遭受破壞的情形。

鍾寶珠與花蓮各環保團體意識到,環境保護運動只靠上街頭的抗爭與表演藝術也不是辦法,於是決定由鍾寶珠出馬競選花蓮縣議員,想在地方議會上得到發言的權力,阻止一切不當的開發政策,但是經過幾個月的奔波,不幸落選。但堅強性格的她並不因一時的競選失利而放棄保護環境的理想她繼續監督環境的變化,並適時的對外公布不當的開發事件。

影片中也探討後山的在地價值、花蓮人的矛盾、女性的觀點,以及人存在的價值等等。並選用詩作,期以不同的表現方式更深沉地、更貼切地憂慮花蓮,並希望觸動主政者及花蓮在地人甚至台灣人深思花蓮整體的未來。

本偶動畫創作短片,為台灣第一部35mm偶動畫影片,由作者與林良中先生採取獨立製片方式完成。在本片中,作者利用破銅爛鐵組裝而成的機器人,演譯出一則世紀末有關核能與環保的寓言故事。進一步的,也藉由此片的團隊工作模式,啟發了新一代動畫創作者,羅頌其等人繼續拍攝完成台灣少有的科幻類型偶動畫。

在國王的秘密公寓裡,畫家正在為國王肖像塗上最後的幾筆筆觸,可他忘了說先畫上鳥籠(就像賈克.普黑弗在另一首詩裡所說的忠告一樣)。然後那該死的國王的靈魂,擊退模特兒,取代了他的位置。突然間,本質見了光,無法言說的可以被表達清楚,畫裡的牧羊女和煙囪清潔工活動了起來。他們互相傾吐愛意。但那國王愛那牧羊女所以這對戀人不得不逃跑,被警察追逐,受到鳥的幫助。

鄉下的冬天,雪下的很大。一隻戴著圍巾和鴉舌帽的熊走進一棟小房裡。裡面溫暖極了,還放映一部影片叫做《通靈桌》。進到房裡時,那隻熊變成了一個男人:那便是保羅.葛里莫。懸吊在他口袋上的是一個充滿好奇心而且沒大沒小的小丑,那是《國王和鳥》卡通片裡的一個角色,他想要知道所有的事情。角色和物件要如何才會有了生命?葛里莫一一遇見他自己的角色。
